What Parents Say About Us

As a school, we welcome feedback from our parents. We recently sent a survey to our parents about our induction process, which is really helpful for us to know how to best inform and prepare our incoming cohort for September 2021. Some feedback was about providing more information regarding the school day and uniform, so we have made sure that the information is available and more accessible on our website. We are still waiting for some more of these to come in and we will contnuously reflect on what we can do better.

We also really proud of some of their comments about what worked well during the induction process.

"Applying for Lakeland’s Primary was made easy from the start. CLP held informative open evenings to provide prospective parents with all information required that couldn’t be covered by a school viewing. The application process was a little different as we couldn’t apply via the local authority, however instructions were clear and consistent. The trust kept us updated of the schools progress with both the building and the staff. When the head teacher Mrs Anslow was appointed, she gave a real personal feel to the school by reaching out to the children and their family’s by offering home visits. Closer to term beginning, a welcome video was sent to introduce the teachers Miss Lowe & Mrs Thompson and summarised key information. On the first day of school each parent received a personalised email with a picture updating us of our child’s day, this was the moment I knew I’d chosen the right school. With the Tapestry app and weekly newsletters, it’s wonderful to see the children’s progression. We’re very spoilt to have such superb facilities and staff at Lakeland’s Primary. My child is happy and thriving and that’s all I could wish for."

"We found the videos from the teachers introducing themselves was really lovely. We played it several times, by the time first day at school arrived our child felt he already knew the teachers."

"We thought the whole process was very well thought out. Despite the pandemic we were still able to meet with Mrs Anslow plus we had a video from the two reception teachers which we could show to our little boy. It was very nice that the school caretaker was so present whilst at the temporary building as all the children really enjoyed saying good morning and goodbye to Mr Sainsbury. It is without a doubt a wonderful school with really caring teachers."
