Lakelands Achieves OPAL Platinum Award!

We are incredibly proud to announce that Lakelands Primary School has achieved the prestigious OPAL Platinum Award, recognising the wonderful play opportunities we provide for our children.

Over the past 18 months, we have transformed our outdoor environment to create exciting opportunities for imaginative, creative and active play. From den building, Forest School and digging with real tools to our mud kitchen, sandpit, bikes, small world play and ball game zones, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Achieving Platinum is a fantastic recognition of the commitment of our children, staff and families, who have embraced the OPAL approach and helped us to create a vibrant and inclusive play culture where every child can thrive.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and of how far our play provision has come. A huge thank you to everyone who has helped us on our OPAL journey!
